Today's Fireplace does not sell or install ventless products, nor do we recommend them.  To our knowledge, we are the only fireplace supplier in our operating area that does not offer ventless fireplaces or gas logs.  We do this for a reason:  We do not want our customers living in their chimneys.  Make no mistake, a ventless fireplace vents... It merely vents into your home. 

Throughout human history, combustion gases and by-products have been intended to vent outside of structures.  Pretty common sense.  It has only been relatively recently where ventless fireplaces have become popular, and this is mostly due to price and ease of installation.  In truth they are a culprit for introducing massive amounts of moisture into the home (1 qt. per hour for a 20,000 btu set of ventless gas logs), and they can cause those who suffer with asthma or respiratory ailments to be very uncomfortable.  Sooting is another concern.

Today's technical advances have made it possible to have a beautiful, efficient, inexpensive vented fireplace.  One that is healthy for your family.  One that keeps all combustion pollutants outside of your home where they should be.  In a time when indoor air quality is worse than the smoggiest of cities...
